Jess' Mini Book Share | Wild & Free | June 2021

I fell in love with the Wild and Free collection and knew that I wanted to make a mini album with it. I found a great video tutorial on YouTube explaining how to make a mini album with simple binding so I used some old packaging covered it with white card and added papers from the kit to cover it. I used white card to create the pages and bound them onto the book using thread.

I had the idea to look through photos of Where I Stand so I searched in Google photos for ‘feet’ pictures to show off some different wildnerness photos that I had taken. I love Google photos for being able to sort by almost any topic.

Once I had printed my photos I realised they fell into different seasons so decided to split the book up that way with headings using the Wild and Free Alpha set.

After making a few pages I decided that I needed some handmade embellishments to quickly and easily add to the pages so I punched out a variety of shapes and added some sparkle to them, you can probably spot them on most pages.

I varied the design of the pages, one with tags down the side, one with a hexagon pattern, some with a bigger focus on stamping, using some of the bigger die cut pieces, but I kept my photos all the same size and most of them are fairly similarly backed with layers of papers though I matched the colour schemes to the season where possible.

As with most of my scrapbooks the embellishments, stamping and word phrase stickers do most of the talking without much need for journalling even though I did create some pockets to add it in if I wanted to.

And..........a bonus 6x8 layout

I really love the look of the finished book with all those similar photos together in one place and complimented by the amazing products from the Wild and Free Kit! It was such a fun way to use my kit this month. Now excuse me while I go and play with the kit all over again in a travelers notebook.
